Stanley Spencer Walk & Gallery Visit
Wednesdays 8th & 15th May, 10:30am
The Stanley Spencer Gallery
Combine a guided tour of the latest exhibition at the Stanley Spencer Gallery, with a walk to discover Spencer locations around Cookham Village.
The walk takes in several Spencer settings: where he was born and the sites of several of his most important paintings, including ‘Resurrection in Cookham Churchyard’, and ‘Christ preaching at Cookham Regatta’.

The Gallery exhibition, the Cookham Brotherhood, features the work of both Stanley and Gilbert Spencer. Gilbert was Stanley’s youngest sibling and a distinguished painter in his own right, following his brother to the Slade School of Art.

The walk starts & ends at the Stanley Spencer Gallery.
